It does a great job of cleaning the bottom of the pool and an okay job cleaning the sides but does not do the steps and the very top edge of pool.

Good machine cleans my pool very well
I’ve been looking @ this model for a few months now. This probably best in its class & a must have for any pool owner. It does the job 125%. My pool has never been so clean.
It works great. This is my second one. The last one lasted 8 years with almost no maintenance (replaced the belts a couple of times).
Had it for 3 weeks now, seems to be doing a great job keeping the pool clean. Easy to setup, and get started.
Worked great right out of the box. Must adjust inlets to avoid surface current to insure it will scrub the pool sides.
Works good, wish it was less of a random pattern and would go straight longer, seems it would finish faster if it did. Also not too strong around the steps.

It took some time to get the MX8 working properly. I have a variable pump and solar heat for my pool. After many hours I found the right setting and this cleaner is the best I have tried. The other cleaners I used usually stayed at the deep end of the pool but this one goes all over, from the deep to the shallow part. I would like to give it 5 stars but it doesn't climb the walls too well. It goes up for about a foot and then turns around. Customer service was helpful with giving me tips to fix this.
