This cleaner is great. It doesn’t do well with string type debris. I have a elephant palm around the pool and unfortunately these get stuck in the cleaner.
Outstanding. This thing is a beast. I have a fiberglass in-ground pool, 9,500 gallons. This bad boy keeps it nice and clean. Easy to use. Easy to maintain.
It seems to work well but setting the right amount of suction with the Pentair Intelliflow 3080 VS is tough. It's a very fine line between enough suction and drawing to much air into the pump and loosing prime as keeping the skimmer returns and maintain drains barely operational. Using the rpm of the brushes as,a guide to the proper suction doesn't leave the MX8 Elite enough power to climb the walls. Also haven't seen it attempt to climb steps either. Easy to set up runs great
I have a fiberglass pool and this Zodiac MX 8 does an amazing job It does not hang up on the drain or get stuck on the steps it actually cleaned up the sides to the waterline kind of sits there and scrubs makes my pool look great. Also goes up to the steps I’ve only had a short period of time with the start is great very happy with it so far.

This is my second MX8 and my 1st elite. Love both. Effortless setup and user friendly. Very seldom have to pull the brush out. Recommend highly.
Replaced my Hayward navigator which was always getting stuck on the main pool drain. Works great.
