The Zodiac MX8 Elite Suction Cleaner is awesome. We have a fiberglass pool that is easy to care for, but still needs to be swept and there is no floor drain so needs to be vacuumed regularly. We are busy and when we have time we want to use the pool not maintain it. We have that with the MX8! Pool is always spotless. Thank you for developing a solid product.Â

Overall excellent with design flaws. 1) Small items jam the impeller easily. 2) Drive gear boxes are geared odd and require too much suction pressure to generate momentum 3) Given the open gear design, when debris does enter (frequently in an uncovered FL pool, it dislodges the gear which has to be re-seated.Â

The cleaner is okay, but not what I would expect from the price. It needs assistance to reach all areas of the pool and gets stuck on steps. Even small leaves seem to overwhelm it. I often need to run a couple 2 hour cycles to get the pool clean.Â
