I was very pleased with how well my Max 8 elite cleans the pool. I was concerned it would not clean waterline but it does and without losing suction and me having to restart and prime motor. Being disabled the weight is light enough for me to use. I fill the hose with water from the pool jet just like the video and it floats to top and then settles down. Can't wait to get basket. It’s great but could be better. The speed is a picky issue in order for it to climb. I wish it had capability to deal with curvy walls when going up so that we can actually get our water line clean. That was disappointing. It also hasn’t gotten up on our seat or steps. Another disappointment. For bottom of pool it’s great, it’s more ideal for squared off walls and pool bottom

Works great on small leaves and sand that gets in the pool.

We have a variable speed pump and it took a bit of experimenting to get the valves in the best position. Once that was done the Zodiac is running like a charm.

Unit works very well with one concern: It has stopped twice from functioning. Something jammed the driving paddle wheel. After opening unit and manually operating driving paddlewheel it started working. I could not see any dirt etc there, but something must have jammed it. Also the hose fits poorly to my drain

This last purchase of the Zodiac MX-8 pool cleaner was my third in the last 10-12 years. I believe this to be the finest suction cleaner in the market. I would highly recommend this pool cleaner.

This cleaner replaced an older Hayward Navigator. The Zodiac is far superior in that it does a much better job at cleaning as well as having the remarkable ability to climb and clean the walls of the pools. I would definitely recommend this unit.
