This is my second Zodiac MX cleaner. The first unit worked great so I expect the I will get the same performance and quality from my MX8.

Great if you don't have leaves falling into your pool. Vacuum jams easily with large debris; I have to switch to a different system in the Fall. My first MX8 broke after 3 seasons of use, but it performed well enough during Spring and Summer to warrant a second chance.

To reduce large debris jamming, remove the yellow debris inlet to widen the port on the bottom of the cleaner. This should allow larger debris to pass through. I'm very pleased with my Zodiac, as it is basically a plug and play unit, and has worked very well since installation. The price was good, too. My pool is quite large - 16'x32' with a 9-foot depth at the deep end - but the Zodiac covers almost every inch of the pool with ease. It's quiet, cleans what the "Creepy" would just glide over, and doesn't tangle the suction hose. After doing the necessary adjustments for flow rate it works great. Climbs walls and steps. It does not get stuck behind the ladder either. I would recommend a little faster flow than the manual recommends if you want it to climb walls,
