Saves trips to the pool pump basket. Leaves and debris are caught before reaching the pump! I purchased the Zodiac Baracuda pool cleaner, but purchased the unit without the leaf catcher. The downside of not purchasing the leaf catcher is that the Baracuda works well, and sucks up leaves and debris from the bottom of the pool, and it ends up in the pump basket. Perfect for the pool Love this, it's so easy to clean out.
It is a different style than the first one I owned, but this one works much better. I have also noticed an immediate reduction i main pump maintenance
