Great Scanner With Comprehensive Feature Set. But the ADS-2000 Is Essentially Identical & $90 Cheaper. This is a really good scanner. It's fast, it's compact, it's full-featured. But for the life of me I can't figure out what the "e" stands for in "ADS-2000e." This is a big deal because the "e" seems to add a $90 premium to the cost of the scanner. Great scanner. I use mine at home and it has saved me endless work finding things This isn't my first desktop scanner.In fact I had a Brother 14ppm scanner, replaced it with an Epson and now I have this unit. If you haven't used a desktop scanner, you are in for a treat. I don't save any papers. Bills, reports, pay stubs, W2's, tax receipts, auto service records, everything on paper gets scanned and stored in the Microsoft cloud. I've been doing this for years. I love it. Works great with my macbook air via USB This is just what we needed, a client has tons of legacy drawings that needed to be scanned and archived. I was doing it with a flat bed scanner but it was taking ages. I went thru a hundred pages with this in just over an hour. I have it set to scan to PDF and auto save, very powerful. Works great with my macbook air via USB. Couldn't be happier. Its a bit noisy but... thats ok.
I didn't realize how much I actually needed one of these until I actually got one. Installation was fairly straightforward: Plug the user interface cable and the power cable into the scanner. Plug into the computer when directed by the installation disk. -You have the ability to run either PC or MAC accordingly. *I was very surprised to see that the power cord did not require a power brick that you would normally see on a scanner or printer. 1.0 out of 5 stars Outdated Worked with windows 10. I got a new computer with Windows 11 and it does not work. Called Brother and they won’t do anything about it. Bought this scanner a month ago on Amazon and they won’t refund it.
This item is not new it was used. When I was looking it showed it as new. Please look and check to make sure that what you are ordering is new not used.
Skips pages. If you are a notary or in a legal field this could hurt your business Waste of money. I had to buy two working scanners that were accurate and trustworthy. Nothing worse than scanning 100+ docs at a time and find out later pages were missing.
Great buy if you have the patience of a saint The reason I purchased a standalone scanner is so that I wouldn't have to stand over and babysit scanning on my all in one. FAIL. this is such a frustrating machine. I scan checks for work and it is very rare to scan a batch without jamming. I try to only do 10 items at a time and am careful to line up well, but still it fails over 50% of the time.
Constantly jams up! I've had nothing but problems with this scanner. It is constantly jamming up and once it jams I cannot start scanning successfully for at least 24 hours. SO FRUSTRATING!
