This is information that should be in writing when you make a reservation. Although there is $150 cancellation fee listed the true cancellation fee for us was $500. I was not aware of this when I made a reservation at blue ocean on March 2, 2023. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel the reservation on April 4, meeting the 60 day requirement for refund. Let me start of by saying if I can give this company zero stars I would. For spring break I rented a cottage which I thought by the false advertisement was a nice place to stay since my husband and I did not want to stay in a hotel due to Covid with our children. We wanted something for ourselves. We drove 13 hrs to get there. When we arrived at the cottage and open the door we could not believe how dirty and nasty the cottage was. We got to the condo and it was nasty . It took customer service 2 hours to figure out what went wrong and where to move us . It was my sisters bday and we pre paid for a 225.00 dinner that began at 7 pm it was almost 9 before they found us a place to stay . We have a f350 and our luggage was in the back so we couldn’t leave it outside while we ate dinner . NEVER USE AFFORDABLE LARGE PROPERTIES!!!! Our vacation began in what we thought was a luxury 6 bedroom oceanfront condo at Atlantis Villa’s unit 201 in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The day we arrived, the bedrooms were suppose to be made as kings, but were made as swing kings. When the rental company was called, they were very rude and stated the order was for swing kings (we had the email confirming the request was for kings). Our annual family vacation is a highlight of our year, because we get together with extended family. A time spent making life-long memories, relaxing, and unwinding. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst family vacation we’ve ever experienced. I have NEVER taken the time, or felt the need to write a negative review on any of the numerous vacations we have taken. First nobody told us about a lot of stairs to get in. Second we were given wrong unit. Paper work said unit #5. But that had no sheets and no towels. Then we were told to move to unit #7. In unit #7, the music from the Hoohah Bar below was so loud it was vibrating our bed. This went on until 3 am. The next night I went down to ask if they would lower music. He said you must be in unit 7. Obviously they had that complain before. There didn't lower there music. I contacted the management. They said they couldn't do a... read more

Stayed at a Tuscan Villa C with group of 16 on one week golf trip. The villa was very dirty and required that everyone wear shoes at all times. There were cockroaches, both dead and alive. Everything was old and worn out, some TVs did not work, we had to call to get the hot tub fixed, the pool table was ripped and had been ripped for some time. Make sure all of the TV'S work and the showers are cleaner and the mildew removed.
