For a pan-Asian/fusion restaurant, they definitely hit it out of the park from the sushi to Thai to Tokyo/American fare. Out serve Martin was great and attentive through the meal. My one critique/concern is the 3.95% service charge on top of the meal (regardless of party size). This place isn’t cheap to start with, so I do find it disingenuous to put this fee on top of the meal/drinks. On top of that, the Toast machine has tip options of 20%, 25%, and 30% as defaults. We had a nice experience at AKA. The food was great. We started out with the Grilled Lollipop Lamb Chops which were phenomenal. The Singapore Tempura Rock Shrimp were to die for. They were crispy and saucy and pretty addictive. They were a pretty hefty portion too actually. My husband opted for the Furikake crusted Salmon that was perfectly cooked. Took forever to get service to come to our table, didn’t have enough menus for everyone. Food was fine
Great food, awesome ambience and perfect atmosphere- what a restaurant experience especially on a Thursday evening
Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Prices don’t necessarily match the food but more so the experience. Our meal came to about $460 (the steak was $260) and for that much it should’ve been the best steak I’ve had in awhile. It was not. But overall enjoyed it and will be back but will order more humbly lol
Seriously I had higher expectations. But went during comic con and as a local I was let down a lot. We were a big party, 8 total, but the attention truly sucked. Not worth the Insta hype.
very nice vibes and very well placed so many cute places to take pictures and food was OK but overall music and ambience is a 5/5
