The food was excellent. The waiter recommmeded the curry chicken and it was excellent. It did take quite awhile for our food to come and it was not busy as we went close to 5 pm. The staff was friendly

We did a last minute reservation at AKA and our overall experience was average at best. The positives are that the edamame and gyoza are delicious. We ordered the salmon which was way too sweet. The orange chicken appetizer came out cold but the server was able to either warm it up or bring it out a new order of orange chicken. The dish was average but tasted twice fried. The chicken fried rice was good but the chicken seemed to taste old. We were hoping for an overall better food experience since the ambiance is nice.

Great hostess and server. Great service and great food. A little loud for my taste but I think that’s the vibe. Overall great!

Great service and excellent food! We ordered the garlic edamame, orange chicken kar-age, and pad Thai. The portions were very large and the entree was shareable for 2 or 3 with appetizers. At 8 there was a live music performance. The overall experience was very good.

We visited AKA in the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter to celebrate a birthday and were thoroughly impressed. The hostess seated us in an intimate circular booth, which set the perfect tone for the evening. We loved the trendy Asian-style decor and the vibrant nightclub-meets-restaurant atmosphere—even the waitstaff was exceptionally well-dressed. Our waitress, Kelsey J, provided impeccable service from start to finish. For drinks, we enjoyed the refreshing Ube Colada and Lychee Martini. The food was equally standout; the Pork Bell... read more

Noise level being moderate isn’t a bad thing. The atmosphere is great and lively. It gives me sugar factory meets very fine dining. We loved this restaurant and will be going back!

They made my birthday dinner such an amazing experience. Sparklers were brought out as they sang so much fun!
