Went to AKA with a group of 7 people. It was quiet on a Monday night and there was no wait. Interior is chic. We ordered 7 different kinds of specialty rolls and devoured them all. Everything was fresh and tasty. We also had the garlic edamame which was good and several order miso soup or salad and those got thumbs up too. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall it's a nice, relaxed spot for sushi if you are in the Gaslamp district.

My husband and I came for restaurant week and ordered a couple things and it's honestly way too expensive for the quality that you get. I'm not saying that it was horrible but I definitely could've had the same quality food in a cheaper price. The ambiance was beautiful and loud as per it being a Saturday night which I didn't mind. But our bill was $300 for 4 drinks, 2 restaurant week dinners which was about $54 per person and an a la carte appetizer. The drinks are all about $18+. I came here with a group of girls to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations & were seated about 2 minutes upon arrival. The server told us it was a busy night & drink orders may be a bit backed up. I appreciate it when servers give us a heads up so we're not left wondering why the drinks are taking so long. Food was good however the chicken kaarage came out a bit cold for what is advertised as a Hot menu item. Our waiter Cru was very knowledgeable about the menu and made very good drink and food recommendations.

Great food - got the Pad Thai and super delicious. Our waiter, Marco, was always on it and super attentive throughout our meal! Ambiance was a little dead and too quiet until after sundown.
Absolutely incredible experience! I celebrated my husbands bday and it was absolutely amazing - the service is spectacular, they even had the DJ play the "it's your bday" song, meanwhile bringing delicious dessert and sparklers that made it all so so special! thank you so much for a legendary celebration!!!
