There is very little about the claims process that reeks of dealing with an insurance company. Allstate makes the process easy. They answer the phone. You don't wait on hold, and their people actually listen to the details of your problem. They do go through some self-diagnostic tests that they want you to do before they proceed. Those are pretty easy. If that doesn't work, they send a repairman out. They send the parts ahead of time.
