It is my own fault that it took so long to figure out from the Amazon.com site, how to "file a claim." I have purchased protection on most large dollar items that I saved to buy, and could not easily replace if it 'breaks.' What a great experience. TV was 4-1/2 years old when it started developing a shadow in the middle of the screen. The warranty purchased through Square Trade was a 5 year warranty good for another year at the time. We called and explained the problem, and since it was during the Clovis-19 shutdown they did the troubleshooting over the phone. Once they determined it could not be fixed remotely they asked us to email pictures of the TV screen. The customer service asked how much we paid for the tv. I let them know how much before the tax. Was hoping that it was going to be the full amount but got less than expected.

TV went out, contacted Square Trade. Technician tried walking me through several steps to see if possible to get it to work. Once I explained I did not have cable service and was using over-the-air antenna, I was informed I would be getting a new TV and/or check for replacement. I received a check in approximately 6 days, allowing for the weekend. Overall, response was very good.
Our TV had a problem and SquareTrade replaced it with a comparable model at no cost within a very reasonable period of time. I have always avoided buying insurance on purchases, but got this policy included with my TV and am so happy I did. I may even buy it on my own next time. Thank you!
