Always listening, going the extra mile to please. Their Slumber Room is like a small Chapel to pay your final respects with/out loved one resting. Available parking on a Saturday is more available. Working with Amherst when our son died made the process so much easier. They went above and beyond to make a very awful situation just a little better. They had personalized service and even came and picked up our son's urn from our home. They navigated the paperwork which was so beyond us at the time and dealt directly with the authorities to get him home quickly. I cannot recommend Amherst enough.
We have used Amherst for both my mother and father and their service, professionalism and value has been outstanding each time. They took care of all details, assisted with death certificates, survivor benefits, etc and made everything very easy. I would definitely recommend them.

My parents prepaid through Amherst Funeral and Cremation and we have been very pleased with the service. The last thing you want to think about in the hours after someone dies is how to handle the cremation or funeral. Having it already in place - for some years in their cases - was such a relief. The staff are very kind and helpful.
