RecommendedHell NO!! Never ever TRUST this Animal Medical Center!! Waste our money $150 JUST to check on our best dog Schnauzer Tripp on Oct 29th, 2022 they just gave him steroids shots and relaxing shots plus three medicines the very next day 30th, Tripp passed away!! They never willing thoughtful to take their time to take blood work and X-RAY! They knew Tripp will die on purpose!!! We are VERY devastated!!!!!! And they sent us sympathy card and wrote the WRONG spelling name “Trip” ugh we are very angry and will never ever go there... read more

RecommendedMy dad and I came in Saturday morning with my dads dog who was acting strange, we were seen and they didn’t run any tests, X-rays, not a single thing after my dad had asked if they could do them.. and they just rubbed their fingers on our dogs back and said he pulled a muscle in his back. They gave him two injections and then sent us home with medication, they said he would start to feel better and become mobile by the evening. We get home and we lay him down to get rest. I will not be using Animal Medical Center of Amarillo and do not recommend them. I have a good buddy (a Kitty) whose name is "Buddy." I have used them 3 years of so. Their services have been mediocre, better than Swann Animal Clinic on 45th (very bad sercice). The reason I do not recommend Animal Medical Center of Amarillo is that they have always given me a lot of trouble in approving the flea/tick/heartworm med purchase from PetMeds. Called to make an appointment told them what was going on with both of our babes and was told to bring them in to be checked. Upon bringing them in to the office my husband asked before anything was done if there would be any additional charges beside our pup plan we already pay monthly and the tech told him he would check and never came back in the room. Horrible care! I took my pregnant French bulldog in and the vet that checked her stated she didn’t do reproductive health. But she did a X-ray anyway and said my dog was not as far along as I thought!!! But I would need to come in every day for the next 2 weeks for X-ray! Each time would cost 300-400. Needless to say c-section was done somewhere else and 8 healthy puppies

The staff and the doctors are really nice and helpful. My only problem is that they don't tell you about the hidden costs until after the procedures. For an example, I signed up my two cats for the $20 Paw plan and after I Saw the vet doctor, they told me there was a $50 membership fee for each cat so instead of it costing me $40, I paid $150. Same thing also applied when I had my dog neutered. They put the wrong cone on him after his surgery and when I went back to get the correct con they charged me $15 for their mistake. ... read more
