As ever, we continue to be delighted with the care that mum receives. The staff turnover is low at Ashwood so the staff have really got to know her over the past three years and their kindness and respect are evident. The management make sure that our views as her family are taken into account and we are always well informed about her health and wellbeing. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and without Ashwood I really don't know how we would have coped.

Mum seems happy, she's recently moved upstairs to a quieter room area and is settled, she is pleased she is getting regular physiotherapy following her stroke back in February this year and tells me her pressure sore is healing and being dressed and looked at regularly, which she had in March/April this year. So we are pleased that the nursing staff are doing a great, attentive job.

I am really happy to review this care home. Care is what they do, my brother in law was admitted a few months ago the staff are excellent. Praise to Management, they keep us informed about my brother in law. Any concerns are dealt with. The food they receive is amazing they have a brilliant chef who takes into account all their dietary needs. The cleanliness is fantastic. Important to me is my brother in law is happy there and my sister is so happy they are taking such good care of him

Mum has been in Ashwood now for a couple of months. The staff are all approachable and will have a chat with you about any concerns or information that you require. Nothing seems to much for them. Mum had her 87th birthday and a cake was brought in and "Happy Birthday" was sung from all the staff. What can I say but keep up the good work.

Was made to feel at home from day one. Kindness & care for my husband and myself. Carers are so supportive to my husband. Management are so helpful & I feel my husband is so safe & cared for by them and their staff, it has helped to adjust to this situation of having my husband in care as my own health is not great and they have taken care, love, help & support from me and now provide my husband with it all, it give me the time & need to care with love for my husband & feel at ease with him in a home from home environment wi... read more

Ashwood is a pleasant place to visit. You are welcomed by a friendly receptionist. Once admitted you were in a warm and clean atmosphere. Any member of staff that you met gave a friendly smile and a hello. The food was first class, having a great chef. Everywhere was clean, with cleaners active all day. I cannot fault anything with Ashwood.

Overall everything is good. The only thing that is lacking is the amount of time being left on her own, she does get very bored.

All staff at Ashwood are absolutely marvelous, from my brother's arrival at the home, which was late, staff were waiting to welcome him and make him feel at home. They always have time to talk to me and keep me informed, the home is well-managed, clean, and very welcoming. I can't praise the staff enough. Keep up the good work!
