My uncle has lived here for some months and he is very happy, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for him but the staff have cared for him really well during his ups and downs. I am kept up to date with news etc and I can’t fault their kindness. I would like to say if anyone is thinking about a home for their loved one I would strongly suggest a visit.

Like many people, I was worried and anxious about mum going into a care home but I found the staff at Ashwood helped make it as stress-free as possible. They answer the phone and deal directly with any concerns, as mum says “nothing is too much trouble”. I am kept informed of any issues with mum either by phone or in person. The home is bright and airy, the infection control is thorough and the cleanliness is of a high standard. I find the staff cheerful and friendly and helpful.

Mum has only been a resident here for a short while but so far the care she has received has been very good. We've had one or two settling in issues but nothing major. Such a shame Mum isn't eating as the food here looks amazing.

Dad has now been a resident for over 18 months. His care from the outset has been exceptional with the carers and all medical and other staff treating him with respect, kindness and compassion at all times. And always very professional. Covid then presented a whole host of logistical problems for Ashwood and all care homes. Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly and professional. They all try that extra half mile especially during the settling in period. Would not be surprised if the home's team mantra was; 'Nothing is too much trouble!'

Throughout the time my husband has been in Ashwood it has been so encouraging to see the way he has received such good care in every area of his individual needs. I have a continuing sense of peace and gratitude knowing that he is safe and so well cared for especially during the past year which has been so challenging for us all. My relative has been in the Home for about a year. During this time I have found the staff to be very caring and attentive. Although I am unable to visit my relative very often, I am kept well informed of his condition on a regular basis either by email or telephone. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashwood Nursing Home.

I am extremely happy with all aspects of care my Mum receives from all of the staff at Ashwood. They are a great team. They show compassion, respect and value her privacy and dignity. We have a video call twice a week which my sister and I look forward to. We are able to see how well cared for and how comfortable and settled she is.
