RecommendedI hate going to the dentist. I'm scared of going to the dentist. I had to go yesterday for what I thought was a loose filling and ended up being a fracture all the way through and it needed removed. i called and since i wanted to find out info & make an appt., i chose no. 1. i had NO idea it was going OUT OF STATE to a person who makes all 1st appts!! no. 2 gets your DIRECTLY TO THEIR AMES OFFICE! fyi only ;) he was very nice, pleasant. i asked specifically if this dentist is a BIO-DENTIST REMOVING MERCURY FROM TEETH WITH A "VACUUM". he didn't know but put me on hold; came back saying YES this dentist removes mercury with a vacuum. i asked for an email where another bio-dentist could email ALL XRAYS taken 9 mon... read more
My daughter went to Aspen Dental in Ames to have a cracked filling fixed (which was done at an Aspen Dental in another location). As they were working on her tooth, she let them know she still felt pain. The response was “just give it a minute” and kept working. She left in tears from the pain. She will not be returning.
They make crap, and when you try to get it fixed, they assume no responsibility and tell you to get lost!
Was treated like I’m a total idiot. Have never felt so pressured to go through with procedures that aren’t completely necessary for a regular check-up. Will be making the 3.5 hour trek home to my regular dentist instead.
Had to have a tooth pulled today by another dentist because Aspen did not respect my wishes on work I wanted done to the tooth. Little finesse in procedure. Harsh med administration and a "Hopefully that works" as they boot me out the door
College students beware! My daughter stayed in Ames for the summer and was unable to make it home to her regular dentist appointment. She was having a toothache, so we checked preferred providers for insurance and decided to call Aspen. She was able to get in the next day. Very poor communication with the patient! My opinion.
I called them for a cleaning I decided to go there bc they offer free x-rays and cleaning for first visit.They took x-rays and the dentist went over my x-rays he was very nice. He told me the x-rays looked good. Then he tells the assistant that my old fillings need to be replaced, I need a crown on one tooth but yet he just told me my x-rays are fine, red flags are going up for me.
