After reading these reviews and considering my own experiences, it seems you either love it or hate it. Pros: this place has an excellent staff. They are well organized and seem to be very efficient with time. Apparently there are exceptions to this according to some posts. However, sitting in a waiting room for an hour to then get called back to sit for another hour in a small room has been the norm in my experiences at all other doctor offices. Well I had a Appointment at 4:30pm to get my temporary crown done. I wasn't called back until 5:20. They started the numbing process. They got to work doing whatever the process is. Then a syringe full of blue liquid exploded all over my face. The dentist tried whipping most of it off my face except missed a few places. This liquid burned as it sat there. Appointment at 2 still waiting at 3. Simple filling $200. with insurance. Not coming back!
Went in to get my teeth cleaned which is covered with my insurance. Pointed out some issues but WOULD NOT start off with the FREE CLEANING my insurance would cover. They told me it would be over a $1,000.00. They advertise a free exam but told me they will be billing my insurance. I have contacted my old dentist and am going to pay full price for my teeth to be cleaned at $71 dollars which is a whole lot better sounding then $1,000 and I'm sure the other fixes that need to be done WILL NOT even be close. Started going to them 6 years ago and decided to go to a local dentist in my area since I moved 100 miles away. Not a good idea, the new dentist just wanted to make money, didn't want what is best for me. So I drove the 100 miles and had my second opinion from the woman I trust at the Brooksville Aspen Dental and as I suspected I didn't need to put all that money into my mouth again, I just needed an adjustment. All in all dental care is average or a little above. The employees and dentist say all the right things and smile a lot, but like the Pinellas Park office, they have no respect for appointments or their patients time and schedules . They have taken me hours late every time I have been to an Aspen office (7 times).
Aspen dental has just lost my business and a lot of it at that, with all the restorative I need. Made an appointment a week ago for evening as that is the only time I could come as I need someone to watch my four toddlers. I traveled 40 miles to get to the office. Upon entry they explained they were running an hour behind and asked if I wanted to reschedule and I explain to them that I don't mind waiting because of how far I traveled and because of my child situations.
