I keep getting billed for something that was supposedly going to be wrote off. Now I got final bill with it going to collections.They lie to me.
This dentist office seemed wonderful but I should have known better back when their hygienist jabbed me in the lip drawing blood and blamed it on me. Aspen Dental are rip off artists. My daughter needed her wisdom teeth extracted, 4 to be exact. We were told it would be 4000! We have insurance and they are a in network provider which our insurance said we would get the biggest discount. We arrived and were told our portion was $1267.00 which I paid with my visa. outrages dental repair quote, cremation cost 90% cheaper
Background: I have worked as a dental hygienist for the last 10 years. I worked for Aspen Dental in Mi and Pa for 5 of those years. This last 2 years my husband is attending LECOM dental school- he is in his 3rd year of dental school currently and I'm a SAHM for now taking care of our children. My husband had a crown done and is in pain every time he bites down to eat. He has brought this up the last few visits. Yesterday one of the office staff that checks you out decided she was dentist and said he needs a root canal. I am in the process of looking for another dentist.
They try to sell you a lot of procedures that are NOT necessary. After I went there for a simple cleaning with insurance, I ended up with an estimate of $1600. I had a feeling they were being deceiving so I took my X-rays for a second opinion. Second dentist diagnostic says what I REALLY needed to get done for $130. Make sure you double check your estimate carefully as they put stuff you didn’t ask for like an electric tooth brush for $135
Honestly I have never been to such a disorganized office. The clinical team I must say are outstanding and they have been wonderful. There is such a lack of communication with the front office, I have been quoted different prices and no one seems to really grasp the way insurance works. There is ZERO consistency with the front desk and their manager Brent does not appear qualified for his position. I have been a patient of Aspen dental since 2012 and I've never had any bad experience until August of this when I came for a routine check up and cleaning. After I got done with the procedure, I was ushered to the check out desk and settle the bill if I have any. I was told I didn't have any outstanding balance since I still have some credit left from overpayments I made.
