Everyone I encountered during my first visit as a new patient was very kind, professional and helpful. There was no stress, the waiting room was quiet and I was seen shortly after arriving. I was in and out in less than 15 mins for bloodwork in advance of my annual physical. So far, I've had a really positive experience!

The service and facilities are excellent. Dr. Cornelio Flores made me feel that I am not just another record number but on the contrary I felt treated with care, respect, with human qualities. I heard the assistant tell the dr I was a nurse then laugh. I t Also heard her tell the dr that it was almost over. I came on for certain reasons, things that were offered before and now being told no, I can't help you. Told bloodworm would be completed and then asked to come back due to another patients issues. I drove an hour to see this dr and had real concerns. My provider's supervising physician undermined my plan of care-- I had been seeing Mary Holmes as my primary care provider since moving to Durham 2 years ago. She continued my plan of care based on my existing medical records and had been able to provide and adjust my prescriptions related to gender affirming care with respect and attention to detail regarding my hormone levels and bloodwork results. The provider did not follow through with prescription refills. once they were submitted after my contacting the practice, the incorrect dose was submitted. The provider had not reviewed my record prior to my appointment so was not up-to-date on what we needed to discuss in our appointment. I spent most of our time updating/reviewing what we discussed the last time as she didn’t remember. I asked for a vaccine at the appointment, yet the provider forgot to order it. Did not feel like a valued patient during this visit.

My primary physician just moved from Crescent Family Care to Avance last week. Avance support people sucks. They pass you around from one person to the next and don't return calls. I went from a neighborhood family care to a corporation. I have enjoyed the relation that I have with primary physician for years but Avance office in Cary sucks.
