Cleanliness is great. The staff has been lovely. Activities aren't always up to date, but they are great when they are. Mom loves the cinema. Her room is a great size, perfect for her and her little dog. Overall, a great place.

Services are great, food available any time, nice and clean environment with activities! I would recommend them to others who are searching for a community - prices are extremely reasonable. My families experience was pleasant, my brother was difficult with limited funds, the staff worked hard to make him welcomed and meet his needs.

[Name Removed] was great! Gave me a tour and answered all my questions. He was easy to talk to so it made it a comfortable visit. The facility itself is lovely and soothing. It is also in a fantastic location to all San Luis Obispo had to offer and close to great beaches etc. I wish I could have found something like this for my mom before she passed away. I'm only 57 but live with disabilities. Still independent but would feel nice to have a community right there.

I toured this community with my mother and she loved it! It’s very beautiful and the staff was amazing. I really liked the one bedroom. It is the perfect size for my mom. Still in early planning but they are at the top of my list.

Avila is a great place. Very welcoming and great staff. Food is great, all residents are happy and excited. Restaurant dinning is the best. Christmas festivities where great and residents seemed super happy

The med-techs and caregivers are amazing. The staff are very kind and capable. Residents seem quite friendly and happy and make friends easily. Its all very clean and lovely and homey. Nightly movies in the theater is a great perk. Scenic drives are wonderful. Father adjusted easily and praises the staff. He's happy and feels at home. We are comforted knowing he's in good care and we visit him often and have gotten to know the staff and residents.

I would recommend Avila Senior Living at Downtown SLO. It's a small community feel. If you want extra special food, it may not meet your wants. But the food is cooked fresh and is planned by a nutritionist. You need patience waiting for food to be served sometimes. All of my needs are met and I feel safe.
