The community was under new management, so it was not as together as other places. The rooms were being renovated, but the rooms that I saw, that were not being renovated were okay. Also, it wasn't as pet friendly.
Hard to isolate any individual for above and beyond service as entire staff qualify. Mom has been a resident since [date removed] and needs the top level of care provided. We consider this place over home and everyone is professional, caring, kind and helpful.
I chose Avila because it is in a good location so I could walk to things. The apartment sizes here vary, I have a studio with a bathroom and kitchenette. In my opinion, the food is not very good. Some things are ok, but I have only eaten 1 really good meal from the time I have been here. They serve a lot of chicken so there is not a lot of variety. New owners makes all the difference! The rooms have a beautiful view and are so spacious! The courtyard is nice and quiet. I love how close this community is to everything!
I was at Avila Senior Living At Downtown Slo for a few days. Everything was nice, but I wasn't there long enough to give the activities a try. The staff was wonderful.
What a beautiful place the location is San Luis Obispo is perfect. Staff has been very helpful during this touch time. Our family is missing grandma but they try hard to keep us informed.
The community is designed with the residents happiness and safety in mind.
During our current COVID life my auntie has had a hard time. The employees have made such an effort to keep her spirits up with games and fun activities. Thank you and god bless all the friends and family in Avila please keep them safe.
My experience has been great through this COVD 19 the residents have come together to help each other. The staff has gone above and beyond to be caring and so kind though these long months. thank you
