The remodel has taken away the soul of Bacchus. It is no longer intimate, warm or cozy. Now it is bright, airy, and cold. We were not seated by our reservation time, a huge pet peeve. Service in the bar was slow due to the large number of guests both dining in the bar and waiting for tables there, so we spent most of our wait drinkless. We almost left. Bacchus is our favorite of all Bartolotta Restaurants.
We each had the 7 course tasting menu, and everything about it was delicious. We’ve dined here many times, but this was the first time we tried the tasting menu. Bill, our server, explained each dish in enough detail that we didn’t miss any of the many flavors therein. The pacing and portion size of the courses was perfect. This is one of the most elegant restaurants in Milwaukee. We can’t wait to return after their remodeling is done this Fall (2019).

Great experience just too expensive for the amount of food
We both had the 7 course tasting with wine pairing. My wife is gluten intolerant and chef Paul adjusted perfectly. Everything was superb. Pairings were spot on. Portions just right. Service very professional. Nice touch for chef Paul to come out and introduce himself to us. Enjoyed!

Went to this restaurant for a nice night out with my girlfriend and was not disappointed. We got the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairings, and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive and the food exceeded expectations. I also appreciated that our server didn’t pressure us to get the 7 course menu. The price is on the higher end, but would 100% recommend if it’s in your budget!
