I took my wife to Bacchus for her 30th Birthday. Being new to Milwaukee, we have not had many chances to go out and try new restaurants, but so far, Bacchus tops my list. Granted, it is not a place that my wife and I can afford on a regular basis, but it was worth every penny for the special occassion. The menu was spectacular and the food superb. We loved the small plates!! It gave us an opportunity to try so many lovely in season dishes. The service was great and our server was very helpful with organizing our small plates in to an order that made the meal flow perfectly. He also suggested a few dishes that we simply loved.
Remarkably good on every count - food, wine, service and ambience. Always a wonderful experience.
We weren't celebrating anything Saturday, but we've been there for Anniversaries and birthdays before. My husband has a lot of business dinners there and books the private dining room. The service was terrific and we had a nice table with a view of Lake Michigan, but honestly we really go there for the food. I particularly like the fois gras and quail egg appetizer. The food was absolutely fantastic! We were very pleased with every course, and left feeling very excited and satisfied we chose Bacchus to celebrate a special occasion. The servers were extremely knowledgeable and polite and our meal was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend Bacchus to anyone.

This was an exceptional experience_ outstanding service, wonderful food and sophisticated environment. I expected great things since this is a Bartolatta restaurant and this exceeded my expectations . It was a good value as well- not inexpensive but the entire experince was special!
Overall, I have to say the experience was a bit uneven. The menue was excellent, and the waiter was very helpful in selecting a good wine to go with the meal my wife and I had chosen. However, when it came to the food, we felt a little let down. The shrimp rossotto appetiser was tasty, but the rice was underdone, which is hard to get over at a restaraunt of this caliber. We were celebrating a birthday and we're very happy with everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time! The food was excellant and prepared perfectly! Even my 6 year old nephew stated that the food was amazing! I would highly recomend it!
