Absolutely love this place, we come here every time we’re in Edinburgh, the place is beautiful, the foods sleays great and the staff are lovely

Lovely laidback atmosphere. Really good steaks. Cooked to perfection with Beef Dripping Chips. Sticky Toffee Party with clotted cream ice cream. Mr Toad would approve!

Warm welcome, good service, very pleasant staff. Food excellent. Only issue was portion size of scallops at £14.

Wonderful experience! Service was impeccable - and each person who came to our table was friendlier than the last. Lovely, lovely staff. Steak pie was the best pie I’ve had anywhere ever. Gorgeous flaky, crisp crust. Tender chunks of beef in luscious bone marrow gravy, all perfectly seasoned. Sticky toffee pudding was divine. Oh….and I cannot forget the homemade bread! A truly memorable evening in a charming, warm, clever setting.

An original interior of high quality. I asked for a special table for 4 as we were celebrating 60th birthdays and an engagement of my son. We had the perfect table. The food was delicious, the service second to none and we even got a cake with a candle on from them… such a personal touch and appreciated. Definitely be going there again on our next visit to Edinburgh.
