Wonderful meal in Scotland, with traditional Scottish foods updated. Service was prompt. The only downside was it was somewhat loud because of a large party heated near us would strongly recommend restaurant.

Came here on a trip nearly 10 years ago and liked it so much we were hoping it would still be here. Still fabulous! The food was excellent, service superb and the ambiance felt like being in someone’s living room. Lots of gluten free options and the staff were very helpful. Excellent!

Excellent place near princes street. Easy to find. This was my second visit, the first with friends and their teenagers, we sat in the garden room downstairs which is kitted out like a riverbank scene with all the characters. We spent a long time there just with tea and cakes. The staff were great bringing everything to us despite it not being a huge money earner for them. Very atmospheric pub in a great location. Food was high quality and exceptionally friendly staff. Didn't feel rushed. Wine was chilled to perfection.
