This was a wonderful meal and the service was excellent. They went above and beyond to cater for my son with sausages mash and gravy. And the chicken main was delicious. Everything about it was wonderful but mostly the staff including the manager who made it a wonderful meal. Definitely recommend going here. It’s whimsical and fun and the food is awesome.

A very nice restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh. The dining room was clean, tidy and not overcrowded. The food is of a fairly standard affair, but presented very well, and more importantly, tasty. However, the one thing that made the evening was the staff. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and a credit to the restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant not only for couples but also for family meals.

Amazing food and cocktails! The scallops and the Badgers Can’t Swim cocktail were the best items I tried. Service was great as well!

Very nice Decoration. The Wind in Willows theme throughout. The food was very tasty i tried many starters. The drinks were delicious and unique. And the tea cake desert was very special. Loved the Service.

Started with the caramelised onion and pork croquette. We enjoyed both though my wife would have preferred the onion slightly more cooked but that’s just a preference. I had the pork tomahawk which was very good. I can only recall having a nicer bit of pork on one occasion but that’s was a different specialised cut. The steak was cooked to perfection and the red wine jus was good. Chips were particularly good. We are from Dublin, 1st time in Edinburgh and wanted a taste of local food. Sean and William waited on us, and were very informative yet not intrusive. The food was so good, we had steak pie with cabbage and a bone marrow gravy, followed by tea cake and a whiskey. My words don't describe the food or ambiance. I will recommend to everyone traveling to Edinburgh. Thanks also to Iona and Matthew for a great evening
