room was cool when i arrived. set heater for 71 degrees. next thing I noticed, it was close to 80 in room. thermostat did not work to control heater, on until you shut it off. lucky the weather was okay so warm up the room in the evening, turn it off, the back on in the morning to take the chill off. Otherwise it was great, relatively quiet and nice decor. Casino was fun!!

Great place to stay to see the Redwoods This was our second 1 night stay at Bear River and it was great. Staff are friendly, parking is easy, 2 dining options on site, spacious room that is well appointed and very clean. A great place to stay to see the Redwoods.
Pretty bummed the pool is & has been closed for some time. We booked it 100% because of the pool. Not gamblers, just wanted a place with a pool for the road trip we’re on. Staff was very friendly, room was great, beds are very comfy. Just wish we knew it was closed before booking or would have definitely picked somewhere else. And it’s been closed for over a year according to check in staff, with not much end in sight.
Staff very helpful , rooms very clean , The only drawback restaurant was not open.
