Warm, friendly staff that cares about making everyone feel at home! Yes, we would recommend Bellarose Senior Living to other families based on the experience so far. They are caring & attentive. [name removed] is really happy with menu options. That's always a challenge for some facilities I know! My feedback would be needs another exercise class later in day for those that don't want mornings if Bella ever wants your input.
Every one including the residents are always happy and smiling. They are a nice little family and everyone is included. The place also looks like a 5 star hotel inside and out and smells like fresh cookies, popcorn and coffee at different times of the day. The food is also very good with huge portions. It is always clean. We visit often and our only complaint is dad misses a lot of activities because he has dementia and they don't always make it to his room to remind him or escort him to the activities. When it comes to the cleanliness the overall facility is very clean but some times they don't do a good job of dusting my mom's room. The staff are very good to the residents and always seem to go above and beyond to help the residents. The facility itself is first class. Very secure with the new guest check-in system. Overall experience would probably be a three or four, mostly because [name removed]loves it so much there Cleanliness of the facility would be a four although I sometimes have to ask why his own room has not been cleaned. They seem to have a shortage and frequent turnover in staff, but the ones they do have are wonderful. Friendliness would be a five except the head nurse. Like everywhere. High turnover rate. Extremely friendly though and easy to get ahold of. Good communication.
Our dad loves it there, but he needs so much care now there are things they will not do and the things they will do are all extra. It's quite an expense and thankfully the VA kicked in to help finally. They deliver the meals to his room since he will not come to the dining hall with his catheter bag. He doesn't mind paying extra for them to deliver. He doesn't eat a lot of it, but says they feed him well. We paid to have him bathed in his room, cleaned at least once a week. My one complaint would be that they need to realize that their clients are not used to high tech appliances and other items. My mother had memory problems. She had problems using the microwave and other things. The television required 2 remotes to work. I know these are minor problems which wouldn't affect you or I. They were major for my mom. The facility is too far too small for my liking. There were 30 independent living facilities and a shared kitchen with assisted living. I feel that I need more folks to socialize with. Limited amount of programs in an outdoor pool that would not be used 365 days.
Maintenance stinks. Carpet let go of some of the purse strings. Management could certainly let us know what's going on around here and what the problems are and what are the fixes and another thing. How about when they may be fixed as far as maintenance is concerned I've been in the field for over 40 years This place this place as far as maintenance is concerned is pathetic. This place needs stronger management and get management or corporate offer back.
