They checked my benefits and told me how much the surgery would cost. I paid that amount and imagine my surprise when I get another bill stating I owe $641 more dollars!

Beware - they do not check whether insurance covers your initial consultation even though I sent my insurance information several days beforehand. My insurance denied the claim and I have a $450 bill for a consultation that solved none of my TMJ issues. Update - After calling a few times, the office worked with me to reduce the bill a bit to a more fair outcome ($275). Had only bottom two wisdom teeth removed yesterday (the top two grew in fine). Doc advised me to have all of them pulled and I said screw that; not paying for something to be fixed that clearly isn't broken. Staff was nice enough but all very short with me. Felt kind of judged in the office because I'm a 19 year old who took initiative over my own teeth and made the decision on my own (without parents present at all; like I've been doing on my own for the past year and a half).
