The "bones" of this place and location are nice. But. Beach-facing windows were not cleaned. Amenities were cheap. Single ply, scratchy TP. Shampoo and conditioner horrible on hair. Bed linens 100% polyester+waterproof mattress pads add up to hot sleeping cuz materials don't breathe. Mattress lumpy and dented where one lays. Pillow protector doesn't breathe, making pillow feel like sleeping on a balloon. BVH agent very sympathetic but offered no resolution. This place is absolutely perfect. Amazing, wonderful, the furniture, decor, the beach view, fireplace, showers. It is definitely even more beautiful than the pictures. The host is extreme professional, every little detail is taken care. Even tiny delights as popcorn, coffee, cookies and more. The beach views are breathtaking, patio, barbecue grill, beach furniture and toys…the place is not close to the beach…it’s literally ON THE SAND…my family loved everything on this place. If you love the ocean and beach life you will be hard pressed to find a better location. The views of the waves and setting sun are unbeatable. For the extraverts out there you can interact all day with beach strollers from your second floor perch. For the introverts the rooftop escape leaves you with just palm trees and ocean. The rooftop sanctuary was perfect with it's glass enclosure to keep out the winds and maximize the sunshine - we were there in mid-January. Great location by the volleyball courts. Hosts were proactive and super nice. House was clean and had good space for hanging out.
Amazing home in a very convenient location. Some close places to walk to for coffee or food and a great walk to the beach or costal hike.
We were incredibly pleased with our stay here. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, the king beds were incredibly comfortable, and there were TVs in each bedroom as well as a large one the living room. In addition to the water views, the outdoor hottub area was really the selling point. It’s a great, private area to relax with a glass of wine after a day of exploring the La Jolla scenery.
