We felt very comfortable at the rental. It was very clean plenty of space for our party , exactly as advertised just steps to the beach . A private yard with comfortable outdoor eating as well as a front yard with chairs and a view of the bay. Would definitely book again.

Absolutely incredible! The home was gorgeous and perfect for our party of 10. Everything was spotless upon arrival. The home had all the essentials and then some, ranging from dishes, cutting boards & kitchen tools to blow dryers, extra blankets & propane tanks. It is 100% a rental, so be sure to bring little items like tin foil or zip lock bags. The neighborhood was safe and beautiful, an ideal location to walk by the water and to the cove. The good: great location, clean, well-equipped kitchen for cooking, nice outdoor space with hot tub and BBQ. The bad: we had no working heat the first night, messaged the host without a response, the following day when we woke up, the temperature in the home was in the 50s. We called the emergency line and were thankful someone came out later that morning and fixed it. the toilet in the master bedroom ran none stop (had the maintenance look at that too as gallons of water were being wasted and was noisy for my in-laws), the ... read more

This was the perfect location for my 60th birthday. One short block down to the beach to see beautiful sunsets, sea lions and seals. One block up to all the shops and restaurants of downtown La Jolla. It was truly ideal for the two of us. The Bluewater team checked in with us daily to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family enjoyed the stay here, and communication with hosts was great. We appreciated the welcome basket and direct access to the beach for the kids to play. Wonderful cafes and restaurants all around the place, but the downside to any convenient location is some noise at nighttime for the little ones. However, definitely recommend this place for families!

The apartment is centrally located to the bay (feet from the front door) and the ocean (about a block away). There’s a great bike/walking path right outside the front door and many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The accommodations were clean, safe, and exactly as described. After denying my request to check in 30 or so minutes early, it turns out I couldn't check in at 4 either because the code provided didn't work. The management company did respond to my texts (are you sure you entered the code correctly? Yes.) Someone had to come out and fuss with the electronic lock while I headed out to dinner, and trusted I'd be able to unlock the door when I returned. Besides this snafu, the area is quiet and walkable to restaurants. The unit was super clean and comfortable.
