We had reservations, were seated at the smallest worst table. Ask for a better table. Were told those tables may have been reserved. We were there for 1 and a half hours and those other tables were never occupied. We travel throught the USA and are not treated like this. Food was good, however, we will not return.
Our scallops were cold & sent black and we ordered after dinner drinks that never came. I will never go back!!
We chose Boca because it was listed as a participating restaurant in Savor Sarasota. Upon entering, Boca is interesting and has clever decor elements. All of the industrial-sequel hard surfaces, however, resulted in a loud experuence. We had made reservations but it was only upon arriving that we realized Savor Sarasota was not honored during Saturday lunches (Boca considers that "brunch"). good decor, food was bland and expensive for what it was. wouldn't go back.
Went with a friend - reserved ahead - and arrived during early part of happy hour. We were not informed that to take advantage of happy hour - and who wouldn't want to - we needed to sit at the bar or at a hi-top table inside where the noise level and music were unpleasantly loud. Entrees took 45 mins to be served. Coffee was lukewarm. Replacement coffee was not coffee but was tea and waiter would not acknowledge that it was tea. Waiter was hard to understand and his service was poor.
Although our waiter was excellent, and the bartender, the food was unimaginative and dull.
The noise level was terrible! The service was below average. The food was mediocre. Overall it was not a pleasant or delicious dining experience.
