Our waitress was in an absolutely foul mood and shared it! Her attitude towards us and other customers was of disdain. The food was so so - but she wouldn’t have known because she never came by to check.
We were generally disappointed in our second visit to Boca. One of us ordered the special steak dish (on 3/22/22) & the wrong steak dish was delivered to the table. The other two of us received our orders and finished our dinners before the correct steak dish was brought to the table. We had a reservation at 7:15 and due to staff shortages, we sat down about 20 minutes later. No problem. Then, we got a cocktail that was disgusting and undrinkable. We had to explain how to make it. Next up, it took our server a while to get around to us. It happens but not a big deal on a busy night. We ordered all our food and drinks at once. So disappointed! Four wines on the menu were out and they had no viable substitutions with such a minimal wine list. we waited for a half hour to be served our entrees due to needing to accommodate a large party only to have one of our meals overcooked leaving us extremely dissatisfied.
Should have read the reviews before reserving a table. Looking back, almost every one said the service was poor and they were correct. While our server was sweet and made reference to how overwhelmed she was right from the start, the service was still pretty bad. So the famous chicken dish is supposed to be 1/2 chicken. As I’m eating the chicken dish, which was dry and over cooked, I realized that they left out the breast. In mentioning this to the server, she just shrugged her shoulders.
To be clear and fair, we were seated outside as requested and witnessed the person clearing nearby tables literally tossing the contents of glasses and a coffee container into the street instead of carrying those items with the dishes back to the kitchen. We were so disgusted we got up and left.
Our server forgot about us for 30+ minutes then they gave us a free dessert and our food was cold don’t waste the money going here the owners don’t care about you it’s about money to them
Super service considering they were slamming busy! And they were willing to try blistered shishito peppers on their new propane grill. My only complaints are loudness, but duh, it's busy and I thought $13 was a bit steep for the appetizer. Otherwise, delish and will go back when I can sit outside for a more quiet atmosphere.
