I had total knee replacement in December, and I am very pleased with the results. I am walking, doing yard work and riding my bicycle again. Three months after surgery, I was able to ride my bicycle 31 miles on the greenway! I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and Triangle Ortho PT!

Dr. Gilbert and his team changed my life (and my hip)! From the first visit, I knew he was confident, competent, pays attention to detail, and was caring about my problem and offering a solution. I was told by several professional colleagues that have actually worked with him, that “You made an excellent choice of surgeon”. My experience was extremely professional, organized, accessible, responsive, and complete. I am elated at how well everything went and how fantastic I feel.

I had a hip replacement on 11/30/2015 that was performed by Dr. Gilbert. The operation was a major success with no pain. I was able to resume my life within two and a half months. I would highly recommend Dr. Gilbert.

I saw him time after time, for months for a hip replacement- he was pleasant enough- but not only would he NEVER add me to his schedule for hip replacement; he would not even discuss how far out he was booked. I read another review that said he was ‘patient with questions’. I can’t say he wasn’t, except he was as good as any politician at never really answering them. He never really examined me. I gave up on him and changed to an orthopedic surgeon at Duke Hospital and was given a thorough exam by the physician and his PA . ... read more

I saw Dr. Gilbert, within two minutes of coming in he got up and his body language suggested he wanted to leave. It felt like it he was done with me. Extremely unprofessional. I had the X-ray on my phone and he suggested that I get an xray again so that they could make more money off of it. I told him that I had been doing what he had suggested previously for over 3 years and it did not help. But he suggested I continue the same stuff and prescribed a medication. It is horrible that Doctors like him charge you an arm and leg... read more

Televisit. I understand that a doctor's time is valuable, but a $50 co-pay for a one-minute call seems a bit much, especially when Humana had suspended co-pays on in-person visits. That's my complaint for the day ... wouldn't even think about using anyone other than Dr. Gilbert! I'm 70 with two good knees after a lifetime of playing ball ... what else can I say!?

from someone in the medical field, don't waste your time with this Provider. He apparently isn't able to handle patients that may have past medical issues, definelty not someone I would want to perform surgery on me. Did not even review MRI results much less move or touch my leg to assess anything. Complete waste of time, acted like he couldn't comprehend much of anything. The reviews I've read on him have to be fake because absolutely nothing good to say about him.

I was really disappointed with my visit today with Dr. Gilbert. My appointment was at 9:30 and doctor saw me at 11 AM. No body in the office told me, why the delay. I had provided the doctor with MRI's taken in India. The doctor spent 5 minutes, did not examine my knee and did not answer our concerns. He contradicted the findings in the MRI. I wish, doctors will take patient care seriously. After spending 2 hours, I have to see another Ortho doctor for the same condition.
