I have been a patient of Dr. Gilbert's twice. He was my surgeon for a right hip replacement in 2017, and now has replaced my left knee. My experience has always been very good with his explanations of what can be expected in preparation for the surgery, during, and follow-up. I feel very fortunate to have had such a skilled surgeon to perform my total knee replacement. Dr. Gilbert was caring, thorough and professional. He answered all my questions and helped me to feel at ease. His entire staff was very helpful to me as well. The physical therapists were great too! I can’t say enough good things about my experience there!
I had a right knee replacement done by Dr. Gilbert on December 20,2017, I left he hospital on Dec. 21 with no pain and never had pain during my recovery. I was out of work 6 weeks, I had physical therapy during that six weeks 2 days week. I was nervous about it but it turned out to be really good.
I have had total knee replacement on both knees, 3 month apart, performed by Dr, Gilbert. Best decision ever!!! Post surgical knee pain wasn't as bad as the pre-surgical pain. Physical Therapy was difficult at times, but paid off. I cannot say enough about Dr, Gilbert and the staff at EmergeOrtho. Very knowledgeable and caring. If you follow his instructions and do the work, the surgery pays off.
After significant pain in my right hip for months, Dr Gilbert did a full hip replacement a little over two months ago. He predicted that the pain in my hip joint would be gone immediately after surgery. It was! Obviously I had some recovery to go through from the surgery, but 8 days after surgery, no walker or cane. Now, a little more than two months after surgery no pain or discomfort. still being a bit careful with it, but pretty close to back to normal now. Dr Gilbert and his team are great.
Dr. Gilbert performed total hip replacement on me. He did an excellent job. I was released from physical therapy early and am pain free. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Gilbert performed a highly successful hip replacement surgery for me a little over a month ago. His PA Al Teel and the team at Emerge Ortho offered excellent care and support before and after surgery. The surgery itself was performed at NC Specialty Hospital. I was impressed with the care and the efficiency and speed of discharge. Before the procedure, Dr. Gilbert always presented all treatment options and made sure it was my choice to have surgery.
I had total knee replacement in December, and I am very pleased with the results. I am walking, doing yard work and riding my bicycle again. Three months after surgery, I was able to ride my bicycle 31 miles on the greenway! I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and Triangle Ortho PT!
