I loved Brighton-Eggert Animal Clinic but with my newest fur baby I feel like I am being put on to the back burner and ignored by the veterinarians. The phone staff is amazing and is always there to answer my calls however what is about to push me to the edge of finding a new vet is the email I just received from them.. On Friday I found a ROUNDWORM in my dogs stool, WHICH IVE BEEN TELLING THEM I BELIEVE HE HAS PARASITES DUE TO NOT GAINING WEIGHT, CONSTANT DIARRHEA AND THROWING UP!! They said email them a picture and they wo... read more

Our dog came home from pet resort with kennel cough.

Business response:

We are so sorry that Casey came down with kennel cough. Anytime you board or take them to public areas where other dogs are present, there is a risk of kennel cough. The vaccination is much like the flu shot for humans which isn't 100% effective. We are sorry that happen and we do all we can to try and prevent it. If you would like to come in for an appointment with a doctor, let us know. We hope Casey feels better soon.

My sister tried taking her dying cat here to be put down and was refused because the cat wasn’t a client. Cold hearted bastards. Way to help someone in a difficult time. I’ve taken my cats here and will no longer be a client either.

Business response:

Hello, without knowing the name of the client you are referencing we are unable to look into the situation to see why she may have been referred to emergency. We in some cases need to refer out, if we are at capacity for emergencies for the day. We try our best not to do this, but if we have all of our doctors helping other pets, it may become necessary for us to give other options. If we knew the client name, we may be able to help with more specific answers. Please have your sister reach out, so we can look into this. ... read more

I called because I was having an issue with my dog and being an established patient I figured I could be seen by her vet. After a long hold, they came back and told me there is nothing they can do for me. I have a new patient appointment for my dog at a different vet! If you need to be seen unplanned, don't go here!

I’ve had several pets over the 25 plus years and have taken them all the Brighton Eggert Animal clinic. Last Friday my 15 year old dog became very sick to the point I anticipated she would be euthanized. I called twice to see if you could see her and I was told that there was no room in the vets schedule and I’d have to take her to an emergency hospital. They couldn’t even recommend a place. Green Acres is close to my house and so I went there. The euthanasia took 40 minutes. I was very disappointed that you couldn’t ac... read more

Business response:

We are very sorry that we were unable to be available for you when your dog was sick. We are doing our best with staffing shortages due to sickness and the overwhelming amount of pets in need. It breaks our hearts to have to suggest emergency clinics, especially when they are our long term clinic/patients. Please know that we are all trying our best and we are heartbroken that you lost your fur baby.

This is the most unprofessional vet office in the area. I made an appointment on 08/19 for 09/16. They call my brother (not even me) on 09/15 saying they have to cancel my appointment because they’re short staffed. I called to confirm that change and got to speak to the lovely Cheryl? I believe her name was. No apologies about the 24 hour cancellation, did not offer to reschedule, absolutely no sense of customer service. Cheryl informed me that since most of the vets are on medical leave, they had to cancel my appointment.... read more

Worst vet ever. My cat is healthy so he doesn’t go very often. Hasn’t been seen ina while and now that he is sick you won’t see him because that’s your policy???? NEGLIGENT and unprofessional. As a fellow healthcare professional I can tell you that your practice is unethical and problematic. Find a different vet everyone

Came for puppy socialization back in the beginning of summer, I have a very large breed dog. First, my puppy (at the time only about 15 weeks) spent most of the “play” (1 hour out of 1.5 hours)in a crate due to being “pushy” to me it’s their job to help all puppies learn to socialize- even if they are large . I asked for a tour and was told to come back... my puppy has been to other socializations since then and have not had an issue- one a week later too. Was told my puppy knew how to play and took great cues. Now, the real... read more
