Loved the pigs 'n blanket appetizer and the Chinese Chicken Salad - both were good values and easy to share for two people. Our server was friendly and attentive, and didn't make us feel awkward about sharing.
Outstanding customer service, friendly staff and delicious food. I live in Texas and while in NY for a weekend, enjoyed dinner here before a musical that evening. Truly a great place with lots to choose from on the menu. Will definitely be back when I return to the city.
Brooklyn Diner is consistently good. Had the turkey dinner -- delicious, especially the kugel -- and my friend had the Cobb salad, which she said was good as well. Large portion sizes, but then again, the prices aren't too "cheap" for a "diner."
Chris the manager is so welcoming and remembered me from a visit in December. He stopped by to see if we were doing ok, waitress was friendly and checked on us as well. Best crunchy salad anywhere!

Nice restaurant...not really a diner. Cocktail was well made. Food was very fresh and good. Had the homemade chicken soup which was really good and the salad with avocado. The cheesecake was wonderful!
Food quality varies with the menu item. Chicken pot pie and noodle kugel were delicious. Pastrami sandwich was lacking. Decor is a little tired. But everyone knows how to get you fed and out to your show on time.
The Brooklyn Diner is a great theater district choice. It's walking distance from many theaters and offers efficient ,but not rushed , service. The menu is varied and truly has something for everyone. The noise level in the front is quite loud and so asking for a table in the rear is a good idea.
