We went a bit late - 1:45 lunch date so it wasn't crowded. Very convenient location, and a fun mural of Yankee (?) Stadium on one wall. Our waiter was excellent, friendly and helpful re the menu. A bit on the pricy side, but very good chicken parm. We sat for about an hour after we finished our meal and no one bothered us. Very happy with my selection.,
Our first time in New York. The first moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome, loved the diner experience, great staff, great food.
The service left a little to be desired. Water glasses never refilled unless by special request.
We went for the Chicken Pot Pie which is huge! Also enjoyed the Guacamole and the Chili. Had a booth by the window which added to the bustling NYC experience.
Our waiter Dan was awesome!!! He was extremely attentive and provided informed recommendations. The chicken pot pie is over the top huge and delicious!!! Order this if you want an awesome tasting giant meal! They have a nice wine menu as well. Dan was awesome and the food outstanding!!! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent pastrami!!! Very good all: food, ambiance and attention
Portions are very large. The kugel continues to be outstanding. It's sweet and I love it. I noticed they also added it to their dessert menu; I'm considering trying it a la mode, but it goes great with all the main courses. Their tuna fish sandwich is outrageously priced, but it's large and enough for 2.
Was worried we could be in a tourist trap, but other than the prices (which were high, even for pretty good food in NYC), I was very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is comfortable and cozy, the food was very good. A nice spot, overall.
