Good food and adequate service. My only complaint is that the portions are much too large, presumedly to justify the cost.

Native New Yorker here. Myself and a friend frequently go into Manhattan for events and the theater. We decided to try The Brooklyn Diner for a switch. The cost for what we ordered was ridiculous. I know, NYC. I ordered the 2 egg omelet - bacon, cheese and herbs, and toast. What I got was two eggs with cheese and herbs. ONE slice of bacon was placed over the top, the home fries were the little potato cubes you get from a food service company and 1 slice of toast for $25. My friend ordered ONE pancake. That's it. I ordered the Korean chicken sandwich. Instead of an actual chicken breast, it was a previously frozen Chicken was a patty that cost $24. Not good

I ordered the noodle kugel as I wanted that as my main dish. I mentioned it first and then said I also wanted the pea soup. But what I was served and what I was charged for was a side order of the kugel. I wish the waitress would have asked me if I wanted the kugel as a side dish or the larger amount as a main dish.
