Extensive menu. Corned beef and pastrami piled high... Bread not the usual NY freshness. Everything ala carte - even pickle for sandwich. Ask for a booth so you don't feel crowded with all the folks in and out. NY cheesecake delicious. Chicken pot pie and HUGE meal. Onion straws delicious too!
A bit pricey but it is Times Square
The food is average at best. My companion had a pasta dish that he thought was ok. I had the chicken soup which I would not even describe as ok. Mostly broth with very little flavor. Would not bother going there again.
BD is an excellent option for a pre-theater meal in the Times Square area. Not fine dining, but straight-forward food in a pleasant atmosphere with very good service.
We mentioned to the hostess that we were celebrating our grandson's birthday. She related that to our waitress who then brought us a dish of ice-cream with a candle and sang " happy birthday". It made his day and ours as well. The service was very attentive and the food was delicious.u

The food was fabulous as always - the chicken pot pie delicious! Atmosphere was wonderful and staff solicitous and friendly.
I was very pleased with the food and while I know now to increase the budget, it was well worth the extra money. The food was excellent and I was very glad to have found it.
Great for a bite before broadway show.
