Very convenient for pre-theatre, but service was iffy. Our waitress was lovely and helpful, but not always easy to find. Order wasn't correct, but they were pleasant about fixing it. Food was delicious and I'd go back.
Very noisy in front, ask for a table or booth in the back; inadequate waitstaff, they seemed overworked and overwrought; waited at least 20 minutes for our waiter, no busboy to even start us off with water. The caesar with shrimp was great; the reuben with turkey was dry; the fish and chips was inedible, it looked like a corn dog with some fish inside of it, she had to dig through all of the breading to get to the fish.
Dont let their name fool you...this is not your typical diner. Good food, good atmosphere, but not cheap.
Huge portions and food is pricey but remember it is in the middle of Times Square. Cheesecake is fantastic. Recommend using OpenTable for reservations (even last minute).
Food was good but way overpriced, even for New York.
Food was tasty ~ from the homemade chicken soup to the spectacular wedge salad and the huge pigs in blankets ~ and the service was warm and friendly. The four of us felt very comfortable and were not rushed at all, even let us just sit and visit.
Great diner. I had the fried chicken which was ok. Others had the pigs in a blanket - good; pastrami - ok but not hot enough; ziti - good. Overall good diner food. Service was good.
The Brooklyn Diner does not disappoint. The food is good and served in Large portions. However, I would avoid the pizza in any restaurant that isn't a pizza place. The restaurant isn't inexpensive but you do not walk out hungry.
In the heart of Times Square and the Theater District with a menu of delicious "comfort foods." From Burgers to Mac & Cheese to Chicken Parm. Also some great salads and a giant hot dog.
