The food and ambiance of the Brooklyn Diner were good, but the service was fair at best. Although our waiter was congenial when he was at our table, it took almost the entire meal to get a water refill and his attention for a forgotten item. We noticed that the people at the next table had gotten the wrong salad. It took the same waiter almost 20 minutes to bring the correct salad. The same missteps were witnessed all around us. The food was well prepared, but not attractively presented. All in all it was a fair dining exper... read more
Very comfortable and good service. We have been to the original restaurant on 57th St. and found this one less hectic and rushed. It was also not too noisy to actually have a conversation. Good for a comfortable dinner pre-theater.
This restaurant is know for its pastrami but it was cut so thick and happened to be very fatty. The rest of our meals were fine--typical diner food which is great for after a show!
Great place, Great service....we will return

Perfect for a quick business lunch - sit down table service; pricey but in Times Square; Portions large; Not really for tourists.
It was a little pricier than I expected. Since the prices weren't listed on the web site menus, I had no idea. This was my second time there but I didn't remember it bring that expensive. We even shared a sandwich.
We decided to go here for breakfast before a 2 o'clock show. We had 1130 reservations but when they called to confirm our reservations, they informed us that they only served break fast until 1130 and we would have to order lunch. We almost cancelled at that point but didn't and glad we didn't. We got there at 11:10 and they sat us right away even though our whole party was not there. They have one dish that was an egg cooked in challah bread with sausage and roasted peppers that was delicious. The red velvet waffle was amaz... read more
