I had only been to this location for brunch before. This time I stopped by for a late post-theater dinner. I opted for the lobster roll which had recommendations from other posters. It was ok; really just some pieces of lobster on a toasted roll. The fries were excellent. The wine (a tempranillo) was very good and the service was excellent.
Great place for before or after the theater.....
Adequate for pre theater. Not fineman's best.
This is my third visit to the Brooklyn Diner as always the food was great the service and accomadations by the staff from the matre de to the busboy were outstanding. We were seated promptly on arrival but my daughter had called to tell us she would be 45 minutes late. The matre de made arrangements for when my daughter arrived to put the table next to us with ours. This on a very busy Sat night.I'll be back again loved the chicken soup and chicken pot pie and the giant hot dog.
We were late in being seated and my request for a booth was not honored. The waiter was very personable. My husband' s corned beef sandwich was dry and disappointing. Dessert was excellent. Do not think we would recommend this restaurant.
I grow up in NY and ate in diners quite frequently so I was looking forward to eating at The Brooklyn Diner- Times Square also. We were seated at a table for 2 which was located next to a large party and until they left the noise level was hard for my guest and I to converse. The menu had lots of choices but I was disappointed that they did not offer more breakfast items on the lunch menu. I had the salmon burger and my friend had a turkey burger and both items were good. Service was fine and the location in the theater dist... read more
The food was ok, one of the people in our party ordered a medium burger which was a little pink and bloody for our liking. Would have asked for a re-fire but the server didn't return to even fill our drinks again. We were maybe one of 10 tables occupied at the time.
Food was OK but over priced. I had the Cubano, not what I know as a Cubano but not bad. Partner had the Lasagna and it was very good. too touristy for me.
Great food and atmosphere. We ended up stopping in 4 nights in a row!
