We eat at Brooklyn Diner occasionally before a Carnegie Hall concert because it's one of the less expensive options in the neighborhood. Consistently good burgers and chicken pot pie. The service is always very good. They went through a period of cleanliness issues - sticky tables, dirty silverware. They seem to have fixed these issues. Beware the noise. It fills up very quickly, and gets very loud.
Even as- first-time customer you feel at home the Brooklyn Diner. The female receptionists is outstanding and makes you feel appreciated and welcome. The service is excellent, the menu offers a broad variety of American, Mexican and contemporary vegetarian dishes - it is like a high-quality food court in small. The ambience reminds the customer of the good old fifties in America and creates really good vibes. Your good old traditional diner. If anything a little more polished than the average. Attentive service, clean and polished. Expensive though
A great meal at a great restaurant. The staff, ambience and food were top notch! We had a wonderful time and would recommend The Brooklyn Diner to anyone looking for a great meal.
Well, between the two of us, we each got 15 bite hotdogs which are the best in town so that were 30 bites as usual wonderful lunch highly recommend this restaurant been going there since it opened 
THEY ARE ALWAYS WELCOMING. THE MENU IS VERY VARIED AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS - ESPECIALLY THE CHICKEN POT PIE - PERFECT ON THIS COLD DREARY NIGHT. AND THEY ALWAYS GET YOU OUT IN TIME FOR THE CONCERT AT CARNEGIE HALL.
A very good pre-theater dinner with lots of old favorites.
Great place for lunch. Service was great & food was delicious!!!
I dunno… the prices keep going up but the value just doesn’t seem to keep pace
