It is no wonder this is a New York staple! The diner vibe coupled with wonderful food made for an enjoyable breakfast!
This was our first time eating at the Brooklyn diner. I ordered the matzoh ball soup, which I really enjoyed, and a salad that was just OK. I thought the portions were decent, the prices were a little high. It was very very tight inside there, but we knew that would be the case because it is a diner. Our waiter was fantastic :)

Wonderful food with huge portions and stellar service. Genevieve is a kind and generous and caring host at the front door. All the servers are efficient.
This is one of my favorite "go to" restaurants before a theatre or concert event. The food, service and atmosphere is consistently top quality!

We took a friend along with his spouse to The Brooklyn Diner for his birthday preceding a Carnegie Hall concert. At 5 pm on MLK Day there were many customers, which suited us just fine. The service was good, the food excellent: our guests had delicious spareribs, equally yummy fish and chips (the french fries here are the best); my spouse had a Reuben sandwich (not classic, but tasty), and I had a large salad with chicken paillard and lots of other goodies. Recommended.
