Four Stars A few quirks, but very serviceable
Excellent multifunction printer I had a quality laser printer, but it didn't have scanning capabilities. I downloaded scanning software, and discovered it had an annual subscription fee. Pffft! No way am I going to pay an annual fee that in ten years would have paid for this excellent laser printer. I'm a writer volunteer for several charities, and am involved with the annual writers conference. I need to scan magazine articles and print tons of documents. Good product. Not so easy to print on envelopes ... Good product. Not so easy to print on envelopes and thick paper. Doesn't print pictures well which is tough since some people send information by picture from their smartphone. I like Brother printers. The expensive color Epson printer I had always had problems.

I am officially in love with this printer I should have bought this printer a long time ago. So easy to setup for a home network. I'm using windows 7, and everything worked first time. Goodbye Canon, Hello Brother.
