We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation, but since it was early, we were seated immediately. Restaurant has an old school feel which we really liked. We ordered a loaf of bread, caesar salad, eggplant parm and the pork chop. Nikki our server was excellent, the right mix of checking on us and letting us enjoy our meal. Bread and salad were both very tasty, my pork chop was outstanding, my wife said the eggplant was the second best she’s ever had (it’s her go to meal). Overall, a very pleasurable dining experience.
Let’s start by saying we are food snobs from Manhattan and I’m very critical of restaurant cuisine. The food was spectacular! We had a Margherita pizza which was beyond delicious. Very thin crust and perfect amount of crunch. It had mozzarella and drops of burrata. I haven’t had pizza like that since we were in Florence. Wonderful waitstaff who are very attentive to needs--present but not intrusive. Excellent food flavors. A great pre-symphony or pre-theater experience.
The food was excellent, as usual, and the service was great. Over many years, we have tried several Italian restaurants in NYC, and this has become our favorite.
We shared the fried calamari appetizer and the veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti and broccoli rabe. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. We love when the veal cutlet is crispy and not too saucy or cheesy. This was perfect.

Tables are a bit crowded together. Very busy during pre- Lincoln Center performance times and restaurant management handles the rush very well. First choice for pre-theater/opera/concert dining.

Food was better than expected. We have not eaten there for several years. Just felt the tables were too close to the neighboring tables.

My friend and I were in the city to see Turandot at Lincoln Center. Since I hadn’t been to Cafe Fiorello in awhile, we decided to have lunch there before the performance. The ambiance and service were perfect and the dishes we ordered absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend going to those who haven’t been there yet. You won’t be disappointed!
