If I could give a negative 5 stars to this company, I would, as it was the worst experience, we have had dealing with any company!In December of 2022 we had the company come out to evaluate the property for a new pool along with 2 other companies. We decided to work with California Pools & Landscape of **********, and in January 2023 gave them a very large down payment. Terrible Company. WE are at one year on our build and not close to be done. We were told that we would be able to use our pool this summer. That is a joke as we sit here looking at a half finished pool with the bottom step still needing to be finished after 2 months since they took it apart to fix a plumbing problem . They show up every once in awhile and do very work. No landscaping work done some travertine laid but that is it. BUYER BE WARE

If 0 stars was an option they would get that. Started the project in May of 2021 and didn't get done until 2 years later when i was quoted **** months. Every single sub contractor they used left my house a mess. Their shotcrete team left their wads of chew tobacco spit all over my yard and once i let my dogs out they got into them and got them sick. Horrible experience with this company. The first time i dealt with them teh guy that came over was rude when trying to get a quote didnt wnat to give me any information and said even though he was at my house could not show me any design plans until i went into the office, but then called me later that he could send me pics of what he was proposing. Signed my CPL ******** on 10/29/2021. Still waiting for completion. There is practically no communication from them as to the schedule and whos going to be here when or what theyre doing. There have been several mistakes made that I now just have to live with. They have had the same excuses every time, we cant get the materials, our subs cant keep laborers, just hang in there with us youll be happy with the end results. All I have to say is buyer beware; I have no doubt this company at a point was great!!! But as of right now I can't say that. Research and take time in looking up reviews online, that is what I did. I pushed them aside thinking that could not be the case, I regret every minute of it. The project has taken over a year, which is understandable given the supply chain issues. Today is 6/4/2022. California Pools over sells their product and then delays the project indefinity. I have taken the notes and screen shots of their promises followed by even more significant delays. I understand that there are delays are caused by contractors and supply issue. However, These delays are self indused by California Pools for overselling their product without have the contractors to complete the work. I actually find it quite suspicious to see so many 5 star reviews considering the difficulties we are being told so many of the California Pools customers are having right now getting shotcrete. We signed our contract in October and were told to anticipate about a 7-month time frame. We dug at the end of January, and work after that was consistently completed at about 2-3 week intervals for each stage. That is until we got to shotcrete. I signed my contract April 2021 and was told that because of their reputation and standing they wouldnt have delays. The pool couldnt start until I closed on my new construction home in August. Was told work would start when I closed on August 4. Instead, work didnt begin for months, 6-8 weeks in between trades, then each trade had to be corrected. Each time the next phase was scheduled, it was canceled and was told they had minor fixes. Gas had to be moved, electric had to be fixed, rebar repaired and the drain hole dug out... read more
