All I have to say is buyer beware; I have no doubt this company at a point was great!!! But as of right now I can't say that. Research and take time in looking up reviews online, that is what I did. I pushed them aside thinking that could not be the case, I regret every minute of it. The project has taken over a year, which is understandable given the supply chain issues. But after going through 3 Construction Managers, and numerous delays cause by incompetency from their staff, each time the issue was red flagged in a timel... read more

Today is 6/4/2022. California Pools over sells their product and then delays the project indefinity. I have taken the notes and screen shots of their promises followed by even more significant delays. I understand that there are delays are caused by contractors and supply issue. However, These delays are self indused by California Pools for overselling their product without have the contractors to complete the work. For example, my neighbors sarted his pool 3/5/2022 and was able to complete all phases up to shotcrete in less... read more

I actually find it quite suspicious to see so many 5 star reviews considering the difficulties we are being told so many of the California Pools customers are having right now getting shotcrete. We signed our contract in October and were told to anticipate about a 7-month time frame. We dug at the end of January, and work after that was consistently completed at about 2-3 week intervals for each stage. That is until we got to shotcrete. Right after that, we passed our first city inspection, and we were then informed of a con... read more

I signed my contract April 2021 and was told that because of their reputation and standing they wouldnt have delays. The pool couldnt start until I closed on my new construction home in August. Was told work would start when I closed on August 4. Instead, work didnt begin for months, 6-8 weeks in between trades, then each trade had to be corrected. Each time the next phase was scheduled, it was canceled and was told they had minor fixes. Gas had to be moved, electric had to be fixed, rebar repaired and the drain hole dug out... read more

Your project is very important to us and your CPL **** is doing everything they can to have the pebble installed mid-June.

We signed with California Pools in April 2021. We knew there was a delay in materials and work, and that the completion time would be longer than normal. Instead of 2-3 months, it'd be 6-7 months. We didn't have our pool dug until 6 months after we signed the contract. We are continuously getting timeframes that seem reasonable to then not hear anything from anyone, and our wait times go from 4-5 weeks to 12 weeks between steps. Here we are 12 months out and we have shotcrete. We have been sitting with shotcrete for almost 4... read more

At this point I wish I would have checked here prior to choosing Cal Pools to build my pool. My back yard has been in shambles for 9+ months and at this point I have a hole and some plumbing. I get ZERO information from my now 3RD project manager or anyone at the company unless I message them on their horrible job portal. I have had to ask for loan extensions due to the project taking so much longer than originally expected and now I am being told steel work (the next step of the project) is not boing to be scheduled until t... read more

Business response:

Our average build time is 6 months for a project of your type of scope. With your pool excavation starting in September, we hope to complete within that 6 month timeframe. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director of Scheduling at ************.

This has been the most miserable 8 months - with no end in sight. We are 8 months into our project with only a hole (excavation) and plumbing done. Im on my 3rd scheduling manager and now no one can tell me when the next step will happen. Do not use this company!!

Business response:

2021 has had its own unique set for challenges with nation wide supply chain and labor shortages. Currently our average build time is 6 months for a project of your scope and the whole team is working towards making that happen for you.
