Get directionsI stayed at Cedar Mews for three months respite care following a broken arm and found the whole experience very enjoyable. The care that I received was of a very high standard and there was a feeling of 'community spirit' within the home. I very much appreciated the food and social activities and would stay again if it became necessary or for respite care.
My father was in Cedar Mews for respite care following a broken arm in early January. I could not have picked a better care home for him. From first entering Cedar Mews for a tour around we found that all the staff were very caring and extremely helpful. This was very much appreciated as it was our first foray into the world of adult social care. I would thoroughly recommend Cedar Mews and my father is hoping to return for respite care when we are away from the area.
Mum was a guest at Cedar Mews from January until last week when she sadly passed away. I can not put in words the care and compassion that all of the staff demonstrated towards Mum which allowed her to die with dignity. In particular, I would like to say thank you to the "Senior Carers" who Mum was very fond of and spent a lot of time with her in her final few weeks. They truly went above and beyond. Thank you also to the management team who have provided significant support to both myself and Mum. The Chef who went to great... read more
My beautiful sister became a resident at Cedar Mews about 7 months ago now. She hated the thought of care and so did the family, however, frailty sadly took hold and all other options just didn't feel safe and enabling. The loving care, attention and friendships she has made are beyond our wildest expectations. My sister is living well again after slowly but surely fading in her own home. We, as a formidable family cannot praise the whole staff team enough for all the selfless care they give, not only to my sister but to all... read more
Mum moved to Cedar Mews in September last year. Within a couple of weeks, she looked her usual self - hair and nails done, wearing clothes which were beautifully laundered and was having fun joining in the activities. Just after Christmas Mum had a few, unexplained, falls resulting in a 2 week stay in hospital with a fractured pelvis. Mum was discharged in a weak and confused state. Again the wonderful care given has meant that Mum is able to join her friends in the lounge. The care, support and kindness provided by all the ... read more
My Aunty stayed in Cedar Mews for a year. In that time she had fantastic care and was well looked after. All the staff are caring and promote dignity and are empathetic. When you walk into the home you are greeted with a warm welcome. The home delivers a high standard of care to all their residents. When my Aunty passed away, even the undertaker could not get over how the staff stood in respect when she left. Well done.
The home was very clean. Staff were very helpful and the overall appearance - it looks like a hotel, very nice.
After looking around several homes for my father, this was by far the nicest place we had seen. It has the look of a hotel than a care home. My father had a physical disability and needed a high level of support to meet his everyday care needs. The care team are excellent and always mindful of dignity. My dad could feel frustrated at times due to his disability but the staff did their best to accommodate his needs. The entertainment team are great, my dad was not the most social of people but the activities coordinator alway... read more
